Arlene Distler is co-founder of Write Action, an advocacy and networking organization for writers in the Brattleboro area. She is active in helping to organize and promote reading events and bringing about collaborations between the arts in the community. Distler is a journalist who has been writing about the arts for local and regional and national publications for twenty years. Her poetry can be read in journals and anthologies. A chapbook, Voices Like Wind Chimes, was published in 2014. She has edited and co-edited two collections of writing by poets and writers in the tri-state region of southeastern Vermont. Her new collection of poems is This Earth, This Body and she lives in Brattleboro.
