Code of Conduct

The Brattleboro Literary Festival is committed to providing a safe environment at our events that is free of harassment, discrimination, and threatening or disrespectful behavior for all attendees, including but not limited to, authors, moderators, volunteers, exhibitors, staff, media, and members of the general public,

We will not tolerate harassment in any form and reserve the right to remove a person or persons from any Brattleboro Literary Festival event who engages in behavior that includes but not limited to unwanted advances, stalking, verbal threats, inappropriate statements or gestures, sustained disruption of speakers, and disrespectful comments that go beyond the boundaries of civil disagreement and civic discourse. This may also include remarks or actions that target people people based on their race, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, ethnicity, or disability status.

Brattleboro Literary Festival welcomes all attendees. We are dedicated to creating safe and accepting environments for people to engage with literature and ideas. If you are being harassed, observe someone else being harassed, or have concerns, please notify BLF event organizers immediately and we will be happy to assist with immediate intervention. We value your attendance and your safety and well-being.
